Head of Marketing

This title means different things at different companies, for us it means:

Drive a step change in customer and revenue growth through:

  • Developing and executing a sharp marketing strategy.
  • Building and managing an A-grade team, while rolling up your own sleeves when needed.
  • Balancing early stage financial prudence with the need to invest.
  • Advocating for the right balance of long-term, brand building investments and shorter-term, ROI-based performance marketing.
  • Understanding the customer, the competitors and the future of our space better than any other marketer

  • The core responsibilities of this role are to:

    Set & execute Qwilr's marketing strategy

  • Where should we be investing time, effort, money, headcount?
  • Which channels should we be focusing on?
  • How should marketing and product work together on core initiatives?

  • Significantly grow Qwilr's market share

  • Execute on the strategy you set to bring in more leads from our target customer segments
  • Find the balance between awareness driving and lead generation strategies, to secure a long runway for Qwilr.
  • Establish scalable, ROI positive lead generation channels and robust attribution processes

  • Be a highly effective, yet thoroughly decent leader.

  • Grow our small (and excellent) marketing team.
  • Continue to strengthen our inclusive and strong culture.
  • Manage the team well, motivate them & set them up to succeed.
  • Set their goals & hold them accountable.
  • Be a strong partner to other leads in the business
  • Note: This role is open to candidates based in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Coast USA. We love remote work, but would also be very happy to relocate the successful candidate to the glorious city of Sydney.

    About you

    Your skill set and experience will mean you have:

  • 10+ years' well-rounded marketing experience across both performance and brand-building channels
  • 3-5 years' experience in a leadership role
  • A sharp strategic mindset
  • Strong business financial literacy and experience running a $500k+ marketing budget to deliver positive impact
  • A track record with early stage business growth
  • Expert analytical skills to dissect performance across channels and through the marketing funnel
  • A customer-first approach to all marketing activities
  • A strong intuition for appropriate brand strategy and marketing messaging
